Howdeeee! Hey, Sunday May 13th is Mother's Day. Some of you may not know the true story of Mother's Day, so here it is. Years ago back in the Old Country, mothers were very lazy. They would sleep 'til noon, paint their toenails and mostly sit and gossip. They left their poor husbands to hunt, clean house, raise the kids and gather sticks for the fire. One day the men got together and had a big meeting. They took a vote and all agreed, "This is crap." One tribal elder, 14 year old Bob the Wise (they didn't live very long back then) came up with an idea. "We will have a festival, say, some Sunday in May," proclaimed Bob. "On that day the mothers will do all the chores and we men will provide the charm and entertainment as encouragement and support. We will call it 'Mother's Day'!" The crowd all roared its approval and shouted, "Allright Bob!" At the end of the day after that first Mother's Day there was pure joy. The mothers with their hair matted to their foreheads, knuckles bleeding and backs aching said, "We loved this. Can we do this everyday?" Bob the Wise said, "You bet." What better way to celebrate Mother's Day than to bring her to Piggy Pat's BBQ. Show her how much you appreciate her and the great lineage of wise decisions that she's a part of. Because at Piggy Pat's, we know the whole story...at least that's the way I heard it. Next month...Father's Day. Better make reservations: 73-piggy (737-4449)
